The ABVP Difference

Dr. Wagner is specialized in Canine and Feline practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP).  He is the only veterinarian with this credential in north Alabama.  He started the process of board certification in 2014 when he began writing detailed medical case reports based on actual cases he encountered in his practice. 

 

In addition to compiling case reports, Dr. Wagner completed extensive continuing education, well beyond what is required of a regular practitioner.  The process was completed in 2017 when he sat for a two day board examination. Passing this exam allowed him to become a certified specialist in Canine and Feline Practice.  He maintains his specialty by completing a recertification every ten years that demonstrates his dedication to the higher level of care required by ABVP.

As an ABVP Diplomate, Dr. Wagner has proven knowledge and expertise above and beyond what is required to practice veterinary medicine. Because of his dedication to the practice of veterinary medicine, Dr. Wagner is able provide a higher level of care for healthier pets.
